End of Fall

The fall season is filled with color, but in later days, leaves tend to fall and create a different kind of beauty. I found the leaves and plants, as they withered or faded, were as breathtaking as the early fall riot of yellows, greens, and reds. Even in black & white, the shapes of the leaves are like charcoal or pen and ink drawings that captivate a quiet loveliness. In this portfolio of photos, my intention was to focus on the days of fall when details of fallen leaves and plants are there to appreciate rather than to be raked away unnoticed.
